2025-2026 Season
We envision Mad Apple Softball as a place where young athletes can reach their full potential, both as skilled softball players and as well-rounded individuals. We provide exceptional coaching, comprehensive training, and unwavering support to help our players develop the skills and character they need to succeed in life.
It is important that everyone understands the goals, boundaries, and expected conduct for all players on our teams. A contract helps us communicate this. Our goal is to help develop young women by providing an environment where they will practice the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, commitment, and hard work. The following guidelines are what we expect from all Mad Apple players:
Are not allowed in or around the dug-out at any time. This time frame will start with your arrival time and will not end until you are dismissed by the coach. This rule applies for both practices and games. My focus will remain between the lines.
Parents can be the biggest supporter or the biggest obstacle for a player. We are a team — athletes, coaches, and parents. Parents need to support their child by allowing them to experience the frustration, failures, and successes on and off the field. The coaches have the best interest of your child in mind.
Our responsibility as coaching staff is to develop the fundamental skills of each player on our team. Our main objective is to develop, train, and teach each player to maximize her ability as an athlete. The demands on each player will be rigorous, but the success of each player is contingent upon individual desire and effort. All players will be given equal opportunity for training and development during practice and scrimmages. When we compete at tournaments, each player will have a role that contributes to the success of our team.
It is a privilege, not a right to be part of the Mad Apple organization. All players must accept all responsibilities to stay on one of our teams. Nobody will be accorded equal or guaranteed playing time. All players must maintain what the coaches think is an acceptable skill level to maintain their current position and status. Every playing position and roster spots are at the sole discretion of the coaching staff.
Parents are not allowed on the practice or game field unless asked by a member of the coaching staff to help. The field is the player's classroom and should be free of distractions. Please be positive support during the games. Your athlete is playing and learning one of the hardest sports to play. Lateness and absence must be immediately and properly explained. All players are encouraged to obtain private instructors for individual skills such as pitching, hitting, and catching. Players are also expected to work on skills individually when not at organized practices and to maintain a physical fitness regimen and show signs of improvement as the season goes on.
As players, the older we get our social media accounts become more crucial. We as students, athletes, parents, and coaches need to be more aware of what we post or share on these accounts. Social media is a great tool to use for recruiting, and it can also be used to deter your potential colleges and universities from giving you scholarships and offers. Parents, this applies to you as well. As your player talks to coaches, goes to camps, and showcases, they will learn that coaches look at parents just as much as the players they are recruiting. Players please do not post or share any vulgar, sexual content, or content promoting drug use on any social media accounts.
Failure to comply with this request could result in suspension for a game, tournament, or even expulsion from the team for the season without a refund. Any violation of this rule will be handled with our directors, coaching staff, players, and parents.
The Mad Apple Sports Organization (Softball and Baseball) and Mad Apple Sports Performance have permission to use and post pictures and information on our social media pages throughout the season.

I have agreed to become a member of a Mad Apple Softball team for the 2025/2026 season. As a member of the team, I will do my best to follow these rules and expectations:
Read and initial each item. By initialing you agree that you completely understand and accept each statement.
I will always hustle. I will hustle on and off the field, on every ball I hit, on the bases and in the field.
I will respect my coaches and parents and do as they ask. I understand that they come from a place of experience and want to help me become the best I can be.
I will practice good sportsmanship before, during, and after games. I will appreciate the good play of our opponents and remain humble during my shining moments.
I will treat all opposing players, coaches, and fans with respect. The only difference between us is that they are supporting the other side.
I will respect decisions made by the umpires. I cannot change their decisions, and I recognize my reaction may reflect poorly on me and my team.
I will handle winning with class and losing with grace. A player's true character is shown in handling both winning and losing with similar reflection and appreciation.
I will never quit. No matter the score, inning, or number of outs, I will always give my best. My teammates deserve nothing less.
I will work hard when no one is watching. My work ethic is based on the hard work I put in during games and practices as well as at home.
I will never throw a bat or other equipment in anger. Not only is this unsafe, but it is a selfish display of poor self-control and bad sportsmanship.
I will always prioritize the safety of myself and others around me. I will be properly equipped and aware of my surroundings when throwing a ball or swinging a bat.
I will take necessary safety precautions related to my health. I will let my parents and coaches know if I am not feeling well, and I will do my best to protect my teammates from illness by following health and safety guidelines as required.
I will treat practices seriously as an opportunity to become the best player I can be. Practice is my time to polish my skills while the game is my time to shine.
I will practice self-control, setting a positive example for others. I will remain positive when things are not going my way.
I will always support and encourage my teammates. I will be helpful and courteous, treating my teammates the way I would want to be treated.
I will respect the facilities we are provided for practices and games. I will take care of equipment and I will clean up when we are done.
I will represent my team with class on and off the field. I understand that how I behave and present myself will reflect either positively or negatively on my teammates and coaches.
I will remain in the dugout during games at all times, unless approved by a coach. My focus needs to be between the lines.
I understand my grades in school and behavior at home and outside of softball may impact my position on the team. There is more to life than softball.
I will embrace my role, position on the field and in the lineup. This is a team, and I will always do what is necessary for the team to be successful. I can set up time with my coach to discuss my role if necessary.
I will learn from my mistakes.
I will make mistakes, but I will use them as opportunities to learn. I will always do my best to follow these rules. While I may not be perfect and we will all have our weak moments, the main thing is that I will make a consistent effort to help nurture a positive environment for all. I understand that my actions may impact my standing on my team. I understand these rules, and I will do my best to always represent my teammates well.
Please initial at each location. By initialing you agree that you completely understand and accept/agree to each statement and contract item. Please read everything you are signing to ensure you understand and agree to the terms of being a member of a Mad Apple Softball team.
Initial at each item to confirm your understanding and agreement.
I understand that if I / my player does not meet the obligations defined in the code of conduct my athlete will not be able to participate in any Mad Apple Softball activities (practices, performance training, games, etc.).
I understand that all tournaments are out of Mad Apple Softball's control (i.e. game times, tournament field locations, and tournament cancellations). Game times, tournament field locations, and cancellations will be communicated to all parents as soon as possible.
I understand that teams will use Game Changer for team communications. It is the parent's responsibility to check Game Changer on a regular basis. Parents should like any messages left by a member of the coaching staff to acknowledge you have seen/read the message.
I understand that the best form of communication is text or phone call to your coach and the assistant coach.
I understand that playing time is not guaranteed and must be earned with commitment and performance.
I understand the financial obligations defined in the Player Fees section. I understand that if the obligations are not met my athlete will not be able to participate in any Mad Apple Softball activities (practices, performance training, games, etc.).
I acknowledge that the fees for the 2025/2026 season are $1,800.00 (10U A/B through 18U) or $1,200 (10U C) and I understand the payment plan for the season.
I understand that if we quit or leave the team for any reason all fees paid will be forfeited.
I acknowledge that I have received, read, and discussed with my daughter the information in the code of conduct. I understand all policies as outlined and agree to abide by the rules of the organization. A player may not begin her season with Mad Apple Softball until all required forms are signed and submitted to the Softball Operations Manager.
